Hudson Weir are a small and dynamic boutique Insolvency firm based in the City of London (Whitechapel). As Insolvency Practitioners we specialise in business rescue and restructuring where possible as well as formal insolvency procedures, when necessary. We deal with a wide variety of matters from advisory work, personal and corporate insolvency and can cover any sector. We have 2 licensed Insolvency Practitioners with over 30 year experience within the industry who are all licensed with the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Our commitments are to provide directors with, all the options in an easy to understand manner in what is usually a highly stressful period. We pride ourselves on our technical knowledge, practical application and reasonable costs. We deal with a variety of people throughout a case from the business owners, employees to professional solicitors and agents which requires a flexible approach as well as clear and courteous communication skills.

Currently, we have more than 70 full-time members of staff and we have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our team for an immediate start. 

Our ethos is one of hard work and continual improvement; any applicants should support this ethos. You will be taught how to research topics and organise this research and we invest a great deal of time in undergoing technical training in-house and believe that there is always room for improvement no matter how much experience you have. PA/Admin Assistant

Job Brief
We are looking for a switched-on Personal Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support in a well-organised and timely manner. You will work on a one-to-one basis on a variety of tasks related to the Managing Director’s working life and communication. The MD also has a number of other growing businesses and you will need to be fully conversant in all relevant aspects of these in order to maximise the MD’s time effectively and proactively.

Personal Assistant Responsibilities
Include:
• Acting as the point of contact between the MD and Clients
• Handling requests and queries appropriately
• Managing diary and meeting requests
• Managing business and personal tasks across different companies
• Family Tasks
• Greeting Visitors
• Arranging staff/company Events
• Make travel arrangements
• Produce reports, presentations and briefs

Admin Assistant Responsibilities
• Screen and direct phone calls
• Checking & purchasing offices and kitchen supplies
• Financial, Legal and Insurance Policy checks
• Petty Cash
• New Starter Checks
• Logging and distributing Post
• Office Upkeep; Liaising with external suppliers – IT, Telephones, Books & Records etc
• Handle requests and queries appropriately

Requirements
• Proven work experience as a personal assistant
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• MS Office and English proficiency
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Up-to-date with latest office gadgets and applications
• Ability to multitask and prioritise daily workload
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Discretion and confidentiality
